For Immediate Release
Grand Forks: Community Futures Boundary is pleased to announce we have been awarded funding from ETSI-BC in the amount of $15,000 for the development of industry sector profiles.
The Grand Forks Sector Development Project builds on two years of success and momentum developed through the Invest Grand Forks program, which is an investment and citizen attraction program. The project will produce important tools for attracting and retaining businesses and the workforce in the Health Care, Agriculture and Hospitality sectors.
“Community Futures Boundary is excited to partner with Lochaven Consulting to develop tools and actions intended to help strengthen our local businesses in three key sectors” says Sandy Elzinga, Manager of Community Economic Development.
Community engagement and representation from key players within each of the three sectors is essential for project success. Community stakeholders can actively contribute to the project and will be invited to provide input via one on one interviews, surveys and/or round table discussions to ensure each sector is well represented.
