The Outdoor Cannabis Production Associate will report to the Plant Manager (MG) and designated management as required and will be responsible for overseeing all plant related and maintenance activities as well as farm cleanup and general outdoor field maintenance. The Outdoor Cannabis Production Associate will work work on a six (6) month contract from April-September or May-October.

  • Take direction from the Plant Manager (MG) and Plant Specialist (AMG) in relation to all plant activities and maintenance including pruning, plant training, watering and the harvesting process;
  • Take direction from Plant Manager (MG) and Plant Specialist (AMG) to help manage all aspects of cannabis curing and trimming whilst also assisting in crop setup to ensure production, harvest and curing schedules are met, processes and resources are optimized; collaborate with Plant Manager (MG) and Plant Specialist (AMG) to ensure all curing and trimming activities are completed on time for transfer and production;
  • Keep accurate documentation and records for all curing, trimming, drying and packaging activity;
  • Clean and sterilize all equipment and grow areas according to SOPs and Cannabis regulation requirements;
  • Contribute to farm maintenance and cleanliness, safety and compliance; ensure all duties are performed in accordance with Health Canada Cannabis Regulations, WorkSafeBC, SOPs, and other requirements;
  • Communicate issues or deviations with management in a timely manner; and
  • Other general labour duties as required.

Contract length: 6-9 months

Specific Skills Required: 
  • Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent is considered an asset;
  • Experience of Cannabis plant anatomy and strains strongly preferred, but not required;
  • WHMIS Certification/Training preferred;
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation;
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail; and
  • A passion for being outdoors and working with the plants.

  • You Are an EFFICIENT WORKER both independently and in team environments.
  • You Are a HARDWORKING and DEDICATED individual who is able to to work in a physically demanding role in different weather conditions.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a highly regulated, commercial growing or production environment considered a strong asset;
  • Cannabis experience considered an asset; and
  • Experience working in a similar outdoor general labour position is considered an asset.
