Boundary Electric is an electrical manufacturing and service company in Grand Forks, BC serving all facets of the electrical industry. We are seeking an energetic Buyer to join our team in this full-time role offering competitive wages, benefits and pension plan in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Scope:   This position is responsible for coordinating the Purchasing function.  Adheres to the Corporate purchasing policy limits and other company guidelines and principles.  Maintains alignment with the companies’ values and mission.

Key functions include:

  • Place all orders and complete all system-generated purchase orders
  • Perform research as required as it relates to production and manufacturing
  • Approve all Retail purchases in CISPro then forward to vendors
  • Support the Project Assistant - Shipping and Expediting to ensure incoming and outgoing shipments are successful
Specific Skills Required: 
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Purchasing and Logistics relative to the business
  • Strong computer skills specifically using an ERP system and Microsoft office suite
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure and multi task to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Be self-motivated and possess personal accountability
