Unifab is CWB certified fabrication facility located in Grand Forks, BC. Two hours southeast of Kelowna and two hours north of Spokane WA. We are a diverse company providing fabricated structural, conveyors, ducting, tanks, and custom work to a wide range of clients including forestry, mining, oil & gas, potash, and recreation.

We are expanding and see a great opportunity and potential for growth. As part of this growth we are seeking an ambitious and dedicated project manager to join our team both full time and long term.

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the General Manager/President, the Project Manager will be responsible for

- Coordinating and organizing multiple projects

- Monitoring and maintaining budgets

- Negotiating and communicating with vendors, clients, employees, and management of Unifab.

- Being self driven and ability to work what is necessary - the position will be salaried and compensation for all hours worked (final compensation to be negotiated based on experience and responsibilities)

- Handle multiple projects and wear additional hats as necessary to promote growth and profitability of Unifab

- Interpreting and understanding standards and procedures

- Working in a high pressure and fast paced environment

Benefits:

After 3 month probationary period Unifab offers a comprehensive health benefits package

Compensation of 30 to 40 / hr depending on experience

Specific Skills Required: 

- Project experience (specifically steel & construction) for projects up to $5M

- Excellent computer experience with MS Office, Outlook, Project.

- Familiarity with MRP systems. We use FabSuite for our steel management system and while training will be provided a basic knowledge of similar system and some research into FabSuite would be expected

- High level organizational skills and ability to know status of projects

A preference will also be given to

- Experience in the steel fabrication industry

- Quality and safety experience

- Mechanical or structural background
