The Boundary Women’s Coalition is a non-profit organization providing services throughout the Boundary area to women and children affected by violence. The days and times worked for this position are flexible. This position is 12.5 hours per week until April 17th, 2019, increasing to 21.5 hours per week after April 17th.


The Outreach Worker provides services to women who are experiencing or at risk of abuse. Services include individual/group educational presentations, short-term emotional support, information gathering, appointment accompaniment, advocacy, referrals to appropriate resources, support with family law applications, and administration of the Homelessness Prevention Plan.


  • Degree in related field or combination of education, relevant experience and training in the domestic violence field
  • Work well as part of a team and independently
  • Time management and organization skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Work well in stressful and crisis situations
  • Computer, budget, report writing, and research skills
  • Knowledge of community resources and harm reduction model an asset
  • Ability to pass a criminal record check
  • Valid Driver’s License and well maintained vehicle
