Tasks and Responsibilities:

The Museum Event Assistant / Docent will be responsible to meet and interact with visitors of many cultural backgrounds when conducting escorted tours through the many exhibits offered at the Boundary Museum and Interpretive Centre and answer the telephone as directed. The Assistant will  work along side with the Events Scheduled and have the opportunity to be in charge of the Volunteer Luncheon on August 17th, 2019. 

The Assistant will work with scheduling; planning and initiating the event set up, and take down. 

The successful candidate will learn agriculture preparation for hammer-milled flour & participate in local events.   we offer Throughout the summer, reunions, senior’s picnic and special events take p place on the grounds of the Museum and the Docent will assist with setting up venues under the supervision of the Manager of Operations

Application Procedure:  Must be between the ages:  15 to 30 on the start date

Note: Priority is given to candidates who have not previously participated in a summer work experience program.

START DATE: July 2, 2019

COMPLETION DATE:  August 25th, 2019

Wage:  $15.00 per hour
