Sunshine Valley Community Services is seeking a motivated and skilled permanent part time Community Support Liaison to join our Community Inclusion Team. This posting is for 15 - 30 hours per week (minimum).  The successful candidate must have experience working with difficult behaviours and outreach work to support people living independently and being able to participate more fully in their community. By joining our team, you will become part of a very fun and dynamic team that deliver a variety of community based supports and services to people with disabilities. This rewarding, but challenging position is available to anyone with the following preferred qualities and qualifications.

Specific Skills Required: 

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate must have completed Post Secondary education, preferably a Human Services Program, such as CCSW, HSW or CMHW or have equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.

Minimum one-year previous experience working with people with various disabilities. including developmental, mental health, autism spectrum, cognitive and learning disorders.
Experience working with people with mental health diagnosis and possible dual diagnosis.

Clean Criminal record check, drivers abstract and First Aid required.

Successful candidates will also demonstrate strong community living values, good interpersonal skills, a high level of self-motivation, initiative, teamwork, organization and planning, good written and oral communication skills and knowledge of the community.
