Positions available at Boundary Family and Individual Services Society
 
In Community Child and Youth Mental Health Worker – 12 hours per week
Provides individual and/or group counseling and support to children, youth and caregivers while building service plans and programs that address the participant’s social, psychological, emotional and/or behavioral needs.
 
Sexual Abuse Intervention Program Worker – 9 hours per week
Provides a range of appropriate, timely and accessible assessment, treatment and/or support services to children and youth who have been sexually abused, and to children under the age of 12 with sexual behavior issues.
 
Children Who Witness Abuse Counsellor – 30 hours per week
CWWA Counsellor provides counseling, education and advocacy support to youth between the ages of 3-18 years old. These youth have witnessed or have been subjected to abuse primarily domestic violence. This includes children who have been through traumatic events. Provides emotional and parenting support to parents or caregivers regarding the impact on their children of the abuse or traumatic events.
 
Youth Outreach Worker – 8 hours per week
Youth Outreach services are directed toward youths that have lost connection or are at risk of loss of connection with their families and/or community. The Worker promotes the development and wellbeing of children and youth through individual and group case work, advocacy, engagement and referral to community support systems. The Youth Outreach Worker directs resiliency and capacity building measures toward higher risk children and youth. 
 
Positions can be combined.  Qualifications are dependent on position being applied for:
• Master’s degree in related human/ social service field
• Bachelor’s degree in related human/social service field
• Two years recent related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• CPR and First Aid.
• Class 5 driver’s license.
