Job Description
Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures; Review, evaluate and implement new administrative procedures; Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met; Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls; Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage
Applicants should have excellent communication, problem-solving, and managerial skills, as they monitor all activities, projects, and employees.
It is essential that the administrator work well in team based, fast-paced environments.  She/he must oversee several ongoing projects and product orders at once, working closely with the President to ensure that operations are running smoothly, and must always stay up-to-date on the statuses of all projects and orders to report directly to the President/CEO.
In having such a close working relationship with the President/CEO, the administrator must be able to implement new policies and procedures as they are developed.
Financial expertise is essential for this position, as the administrator will assist in the development of budgets, including purchasing duties on behalf of the company.
At least 5 years of office administration experience, with proficiency in a variety of computer bookkeeping and management programs will be essential.
Administrator Duties:
  • Greet visitors and callers, route and resolve information requests
  • Supervise and support staff
  • Review, track and prepare budgets; maintain records and database
  • Coordinate office organization
  • Purchase and manage supplies and equipment
  • Purchasing & managing inventory
  • Logistical management
  • Manage  payroll and payroll remittances
  • Manage payables & receivables
  • General bookkeeping, including managing GST
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • 5+ years’ experience as an office administration
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of Simply Accounting 2010
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively
