Credentials:

  • Grade 12 or Equivalent, Post-Secondary Preferred
  • Clean Drivers Abstract
  • Excellent Computer Skills
  • Mature ability to deal with Customers, Communicate and keep Organized
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the Parts and/or Automotive Industry

Specific Skills Required:

Key Qualifications:

  • Ability to demonstrate high skill levels in Reading, Document Use, and Numeracy, with the willingness to upgrade skill levels if needed
  • Money handling skills, P.O. S experience an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Enjoy working with people and within a team environment
  • Computer literate with the ability to work in various software programs such as Lankar & All Data.
  • Strong ability to read and comprehend various materials, books

Day to Day Responsibilities:  Our Service Manager take responsibility for the following duties:

  • Booking service appointment(s)
  • Communicating and reviewing needed repairs, costs and time constraints with clients and staff
  • Finalizing repair orders and sales (invoicing and cash out)
  • Conduct follow up calls with clients on quotes issued and services performed
  • Contacting clients to advise them of service reminders such as oil changes, rotations, etc.
  • Advising clients on vehicle maintenance schedules
  • Preparing/providing service and product quotes
  • Ordering parts and/or sublet services as required to satisfy client requirements
  • Ensuring top-level customer service with professionalism and responsiveness at all times

As a Service Manager, you will possess the following skills:

  • Highly effective communicator. Strong telephone skills, customer communication
  • Organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior problem solving skills
  • Automotive service knowledge (Diesel knowledge is not required but is considered an asset)
  • Pleasant and friendly workplace attitude
  • Excellent customer service skills

Additional Skills:

Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages, Perform general office duties, Clean and maintain office, supply area.
