Salary:  $15 -17 / hr.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Project Leader as well as assisting other management and departments as required.
The successful candidate is organized, able to multi-task, and has excellent time management skills.
Act as a liaison between the management and other levels of management, ensuring mandatory reporting and deadlines are completed on time.
Office administration
Schedule internal meetings
Co-ordinate off-site meetings and logistics (rooms, AV, meals etc.)
Work with ordering, shipping and receiving
Organize and track company expenses
Other administrative duties as required

Additional Skills:

Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
Perform general office duties
Clean and maintain office and supply area

Specific Skills Required: 


Grade 12 or equivalent, post-secondary preferred
Clean drivers abstract
Excellent computer skills
Mature ability to deal with suppliers, communicate and keep organized
Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration, Accounting, or Business
Preference for knowledge of Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Program, including experience in documenting and submitting SR&ED claims

Key Qualifications:

Ability to demonstrate high skill levels in reading, document use, and numeracy, with the willingness to upgrade skill levels if needed
Money handling skills, POS experience an asset
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Enjoy working with people and within a team environment
Computer literate with the ability to work in various software programs such as Microsoft Office.
Project management and tracking skills
Strong ability to read and comprehend various materials, books
