The BC Rural Secretariat is provincially funded and aims to improve the quality of life in rural communities by equipping them to build strong, competitive economies that support sustainable and socially responsible initiatives such as the Communities First Agreement.

Community Futures Boundary and the City of Grand Forks have worked collaboratively on many projects since 1993.

The Grand Forks and District Credit Union partners with Community Futures Boundary on community development initiatives such as the Boundary Communities regional Chamber of Commerce, recently contributing $30,000 to the initiative.

Imagine Kootenay (IK) is a joint-initiative of local governments, economic development organizations and Chambers of Commerce with the aim of attracting and supporting investment and workforce development throughout the Kootenay and Boundary region.

RDKB and the Boundary Economic Development Services (BEDS)

The regional District of the Kootenay Boundary and Community Futures Boundary developed a partnership to support the BEDS. With key representatives from the Regional District and Community Futures Boundary, the BEDS focuses on helping to foster sustainable economic development in the Boundary Region.

Workforce Innovation Council

The aim of this partnership is to engage the business community in a proactive process for identifying and dealing with labour force challenges and, most importantly, to enlist the small business community in helping to develop and implement solutions to the problems they face recruiting and retaining skilled workers.
